A rectangular metal brooding cage with a warm solid-walled section and a wire floor over a slide-out dropping pan.
Description
For chicks up to four or five weeks, ducklings and other young birds that still need a heat source. The brooder lamp mounts on a metal arm above a section with solid metal walls, which holds the warmth in better. The lamp holder and bulb are sold separately.
The wire mesh floor has openings of roughly 5/16", and you can lay hay or shavings over it as bedding, or if your breed needs smaller spacings. The dropping pan slides out for cleaning. It measures 1,000 x 476 x 600mm and assembles with a flathead screwdriver.
