A hanging chook feeder that keeps feed dry and cuts down on flicking, with a tube you can add to as the flock grows.
Description
It holds around 4.4kg of whole mixed grain to start with (the amount varies with the feed), and each extension tube adds roughly another 3.3kg. The design reduces flicking and scratching, and the lid and tube are weatherproof with no gaps for rain or wind. It can hang on a wall, wire or centrally in the coop, which makes it harder for rodents to get to.
The tubes are reversible, so it can hang outside the coop and be filled without going in. There are four mounting options: rear hooks for wire fences (with extra holes for cable ties), brackets for a wall or post, and holes in the handle to hang from a roof or beam. One set of brackets comes with it. Every part comes apart for cleaning. A closure cap is sold separately, if you want to shut the feeder at night.
